Lark & Berry at the Met Gala Making Fashion History!

Met Gala 2019 - Lark & Berry Make History as First Cultured Diamonds Brand Worn at the Ball

Lark & Berry fans, we are beyond thrilled to announce...

Last night at New York City’s 2019 Met Gala, this year’s Oscar winning actress Regina King and up-and-coming star Lana Condor helped Lark & Berry make lab diamond history for being the first cultured diamonds jewellery brand to ever be worn at the annual event.

2019’s Best Actress Oscar winner (If Beale Street Could Talk) Regina King, styled by Wayman + Micah, proudly graced the red carpet decked out in ten Lark & Berry grown diamond pieces, including the brand’s Veto, Nocturnal and Dune Collections. King wore an Oscar de la Renta dress inspired by Nina Mae McKinney, an early African-American movie star.

X-Men: Apocalypse star Lana Condor, styled by Jessica Paster, was also wearing her own Lark & Berry created diamonds, sporting ten man made diamonds pieces herself which included earrings from Lark & Berry’s new, signature Bow Collection.

If you’re a true Lark & Berry fan, you’ve heard us talk up this beautiful Bow suite. We debuted Bow in early 2019—it has become our signature collection of cultured diamonds. The three pieces in Bow use only the most precious and glittering lab diamonds. The Bow Collection consists of: an 11.6 carat lab diamonds necklace, 2.5 carat grown diamond earrings and a 2.4 carat man made diamonds engagement ring/wedding band pairing—all pieces are set in the finest platinum.

“Our new Bow suite has a special place in the Lark & Berry cultured diamonds collection, and we are so proud to have it be part of the prestigious Met Gala this year,” says Lark & Berry founder Laura Chavez.

You might remember our precious Bow Collection being a subject of some controversy earlier this year, when it won its craftsman the British “Oscars of Jewellery,” judged by 21 industry-leading diamond experts.

That prize, in quite the shake-up, was short lived due to what we believe was failure on the judges’ part to identify the Bow Collection’s diamonds as cultured diamonds.

…Well, how’s this Met Gala showing, featuring two of Hollywood’s brightest wearing our stunning lab diamonds for a “that’’ll teach them to mess with Lark & Berry moment?” Mark this as a big win for sustainability in luxury, cultured diamonds fans!
